Youth Care Specialist

Care for unaccompanied refugee minors in a residential setting at The Children's Home of Kingston. Provide daily care, act as role models and mentors to the youth.

Responsibilities
• Caring for refugee children while providing a safe and secure setting, maintaining line of sight at all times.
• Scheduling, organizing, encouraging, and participating in games and activities in accordance with therapeutic planning.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly cottage, assisting residents with chores.
• Helping children adjust to their new environment using various counseling techniques.
• Requirements: bilingual, English & Spanish; at least 21 years old; valid NYS driver's license; HS diploma or equivalent; available to work evenings, overnights, and weekends.
