Job Description

This position involves working as a creative arts therapist with elementary and middle school students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide goal-oriented structured therapeutic sessions using creative arts techniques and principles. You will also be expected to maintain electronic records and documentation according to established standards and timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide creative arts therapy: Encourage an environment that fosters creativity, socialization, and promotes physical and mental health.
  • Conduct goal-oriented sessions: Utilize creative arts techniques and principles for an assigned caseload in music, art, and/or dance.
  • Recognize and address therapeutic interventions: Facilitate mastery, coping skills, and creative expression for children who have experienced trauma.
Requirements:
  • NYS LCAT Licensed Creative Arts Therapist Required
  • Master's degree in creative arts therapy Required
  • Level of expertise in a specific creative art, such as art, music, and/or dance.
  • Able to work evenings and/or Saturdays.
Salary and Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $96,300 based on 20 hours/week, hourly rate of $46.50/hour.
