Job Summary

Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aide to provide in-home care to patients in need. This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical job with a compensation of $18 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality in-home care and assistance to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises prescribed by the healthcare team
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management as directed
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Communicate with the healthcare team about patients' progress and report any changes or concerns
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for the patient
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Encourage and help patients with their prescribed exercises and activities
  • Follow all infection control protocols and maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements
  • Certification as a Home Health Aide from an accredited training program
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in home care or a healthcare setting
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans as directed
  • Physical ability to lift and transfer patients as needed
