Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Henry Community Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic CT scan procedures to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and inform them of the purpose of the examination, gathering necessary information.
  • Perform CT examinations according to department protocols and evaluate the quality of the test, repeating examinations as necessary.
  • Assist Radiologists with preparation and administration of contrast material, biopsy needles, and other supplies or materials needed to obtain the examination.
  • Communicate with Central Scheduling and other departments to schedule add-on examinations and respond to voicemail and pages in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate proper technique and knowledge in performing venipuncture/IV initiation for patients of all ages.
  • Consult with Radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff regarding any changes in patient conditions or for clarification/appropriateness of ordered examinations.
  • Perform in a calm, efficient, and professional manner in emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CT scan equipment, procedures, and cross-sectional anatomy, usually obtained during a two-year AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or through CT-specific post-training.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and certification by the Indiana State Board of Health is required.
  • Ability to effectively deal with patients, physicians, and coworkers to carry out all functions of the CT area in an efficient manner, normally acquired after three years as a staff or supervisory Registered Technologist.
