About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of patient care while maintaining the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active participation in patient care, including rooming patients, taking blood pressures, and performing EKGs.
  • Performing other procedures as determined relevant to the individual patient and transporting patients to the ER, if needed.
  • Overall responsibility for the flow of the providers' patient care sessions, providing needed information to the front desk staff, and keeping the provider informed of any issues that affect the efficiency of the clinical flow.
  • Accurately using the Ambulatory Patient Tracking system and maintaining a clean environment by ensuring exam rooms and phlebotomy areas are clean and appropriately stocked with supplies daily.
  • Covering medical assistant shortages in other areas of Cardiology as needed.
Requirements
  • Phlebotomy and EKG experience required.
  • Knowledge of EPIC.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and skills, whether in person, via the telephone, and/or in writing.
  • Superior service attitude, compassionate, and kind.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, self-motivator, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ability to organize time and priorities effectively, asking for direction when appropriate.
  • Flexibility and proven ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Experience with common PC computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
