Pool Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pool Service Technician to join our team at America's Swimming Pool Company. As a Pool Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing pool equipment for residential and commercial pools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair pool equipment issues
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Implement solutions in a quality and efficient manner
  • Install and repair pool pumps, heaters, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing, copper plumbing, and galvanized plumbing
  • Have knowledge of 110 volt and 220 volt electrical equipment
  • Maintain an inventory of equipment on the truck and properly utilize and replenish the inventory when needed
  • Utilize a smartphone for our Pool Ops mobile platform
  • Be observant and knowledgeable to see service opportunities outside of the repair call
  • Work safely at all times
  • Work with renovation personnel to coordinate related duties
  • Participate in or complete other tasks as needed by the ASP Central Houston team
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Maintain or desire to acquire the Residential Appliance Installer License (R.A.I.L) in TX
  • Smartphone (stipend provided)
  • Agree to a background check and drug screen
  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Pool Operator License is valued but not required

We offer competitive compensation based on candidate experience and continued success. This position also has the potential of earning bonus pay and/or incentive pay when goals are met.
