Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with data collection and organize assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to coordinate patient care and ensure a smooth operating room experience
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field, adhering to aseptic practice principles
  • Handle and transport medications and solutions safely and in accordance with hospital policies
  • Participate in the development of educational programs for co-workers and facilitate staff development
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Scrub tech certification required
  • Previous scrub tech experience or graduate of scrub tech school
  • BLS within 90 days of hire
Work Environment

The Certified Scrub Technician will work in a fast-paced surgical environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure, function independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to a variety of settings.

Physical Demands
  • Requires the ability to communicate in English orally and in writing
  • Requires prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day
  • Constantly required to push/pull objects up to 175 lbs
  • Requires the ability to lift and turn patients with assistance up to 250 lbs
