Job Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician Lead will play a key role in supporting the effective operation of equipment on each shift, serving as the primary respondent to technical issues in the Assembly Cell areas. The position involves assisting the Maintenance Technician with project repairs, performing preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled, and participating in various technical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Maintenance Technician in ensuring staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and safe work practices become part of daily habits.
  • Contribute to efficient repair processes in collaboration with the Maintenance Technician.
  • Execute various assignments as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain Assembly fixtures as needed, approved by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
  • Participate in required projects.
  • Foster ongoing communication with the Maintenance Technician, Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and support staff to ensure continuity of efforts.
  • Perform other tasks designated by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Employees will be trained according to applicable company standards identified on TR-401.

Educational Requirements:

  1. A strong sense of leadership and professional ethics, trusted by subordinates, peers, and superiors, with a willingness to accept responsibility for their performance.
  2. Must have or begin acquiring necessary tools per the attached Maintenance Tool List.
  3. Ability to stand for 12 hours.
  4. A commitment to continuous improvement to meet increasing demands for quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills in both interpersonal and technical contexts.
  6. An organized and structured approach to the work environment, with attention to details.
  7. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies.

  9. Able to excel in a team-based environment.
  10. Proactive planning and response abilities.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  1. Minimum 70% on testing of Electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic, Mechanical, Welding/cutting, tooling, and Environmental.
  2. Crane operating license.
  3. Fork Lift operating license.
  4. Minimum 70% on the Lock out – Tag out (LOTO) Test.
