The Golf Course Starter/Ranger is responsible for enhancing the golf experience by greeting golfers and assisting them with any needs or issues. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all golfers, providing information on course conditions, local rules, and safety procedures.
• Verify revenue collection by inspecting receipts before players depart the course.
• Assist golfers with scorecards, pencils, and other needs as required.
• Record golf car assignments and monitor turn times to ensure efficient play.
• Maintain a clean and orderly appearance of the starter's area.

Requirements

• High school education preferred.
• Familiarity with golf rules and etiquette.
• Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze problems, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude.
