Position Summary
As a Construction Surety Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the sales and client service experience. In collaboration with a leading independent insurance brokerage, you will leverage your extensive knowledge in contract surety, focusing on construction risks, the bonding process, and effectively liaising with insurance providers and underwriters to advocate for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of construction surety policies, directing the internal team's initiatives to address new business prospects and the bonding requirements of existing clients.
- Engage closely with insurance carriers on pre-underwriting, marketing strategies, and securing coverage.
- Deliver resources and expert knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders while supervising staff and ensuring a streamlined service process, which includes timely and precise policy administration and client communication regarding billing and renewals.
Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a strong focus on contract surety/bonding in client service, marketing, or underwriting.
- Previous management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possession of a state insurance license or the ability to obtain one shortly after hiring.
Work Environment
This position is part of a Hawaii-based team, and while remote applicants are welcome, preference will be given to those who can operate within the Hawaiian Standard Time zone or are located within a similar time frame to the local office schedule.
