Lead Advanced Practice Provider for Critical Care

HCA is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to take on a pivotal role as the Lead for our Critical Care team. This newly established position is designed to encompass approximately 80% clinical responsibilities and 20% administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected APP will deliver acute care to patients in critical care settings, employing advanced assessment techniques, differential diagnosis, care planning, and management. A significant level of autonomy is anticipated in this role. Additionally, the Lead APP will oversee all APPs within the designated division, offering constructive feedback and fostering professional growth. The position also involves collaboration with other divisional leaders to enhance quality improvement initiatives and implement new programs.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree is mandatory
  • Advanced degree with a focus on leadership is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a critical care environment as an APP is essential
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required
  • Ability to secure state licensure and DEA registration
  • Proven experience in quality project management and leadership
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
