Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures using various modalities, including PET/CT scans, SPECT scans, and planar gamma camera scans.
  2. Administer radiopharmaceuticals and ensure accurate dosing and handling according to established protocols.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet individual patient needs.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams, including images, reports, and dose calculations.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training opportunities.
Requirements
  • A graduate degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certification in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure, if required by law.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification, obtained from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
