We are seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our Lakeview Behavioral Health team to provide exceptional care to our patients. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, and we are looking for individuals who share our commitment to excellence.

Available Shifts

We offer a variety of shifts to accommodate different schedules, including full-time day and night shifts. Our block scheduling allows for a balance of days and nights, with three 12-hour shifts and four 12-hour shifts, including an every-other-weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse at Lakeview Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing and coordinating care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
  • Developing and implementing nursing care plans.
  • Maintaining medical records and educating patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
  • Providing nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensuring physicians' orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
  • Notifying physicians of significant changes in status, such as difficulties with detox, medical emergencies, changes in medical status regarding response to medications, and related challenges.
  • Ensuring that initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and utilization of universal precautions in providing direct patient care.
  • Accurately administering medications per ordered note.
  • Documenting accurate counts of controlled substance medication administration on required documents.
  • Completing admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately as directed.
  • Exhibiting therapeutic rapport with patients by maintaining professional boundaries, respecting personal space, giving patients direct attention, and maintaining rational detachment.
  • Providing direction or coordinating the activities of the unit as directed.
  • Communicating therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved in patient treatment.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing in accordance with state requirements.
  • Have at least one year of nursing experience, with previous psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse nursing experience preferred.
  • Hold CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • Meet any additional requirements as specified by the state or facility.
