Job Title: Forklift Operator

Southshore Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at our Spencer, IA facility. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our regional distribution center (RDC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a power industrial forklift to move materials and products within the RDC.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and follow operating guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Load and unload trucks, manage inventory, and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet quality standards and ensure accurate and timely movement of product.
  • Assist in inventory management and identify, report, and fix any damaged inventory and shortages throughout the day.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Lift Truck Operator in a similar industry (distribution warehouse) preferred.
  • Prior Powered Industrial Forklift Truck License (we will train and provide certification) highly preferred.
  • Prior SAP scanning experience and inventory control experience a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Regularly required to talk and/or hear to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers, and/or truck drivers.
Compensation:
  • $16.00-$16.50 per hour.
