Belgrade Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing direct therapy as designated by Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities- Assess students' communication skills to determine communication disorders, special education eligibility, and recommendations for treatment.
- Create and provide input to Evaluation Team documentation and Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop and implement treatment plans, interventions, and/or materials for caseload.
- Provide direct therapy as designated by IEPs.
- Complete and maintain appropriate files, records, documentation, state, and district reports.
- Communicate and establish positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community resources.
- Recognize and respond to students' personal, educational, and/or social needs.
- Become familiar with teacher expectations of students and facilitate desirable individual and group performance and behavior.
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communications Science Disorders.
- MT Licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
- Experience working with children in an education setting.
- Knowledge of current instructional materials and techniques.
The Speech and Language Therapist will work in a school setting, interacting with students, staff, and parents. The position requires the ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels, perform routine work, and work within time constraints.
