Overview:

Lou Bachrodt Automotive Group is on the lookout for skilled Automotive Repair Specialists to expertly maintain and service our customers' vehicles. If you are eager to advance your career and have a passion for delivering exceptional service in the automotive industry, you are in the right place with Lou Bachrodt Automotive Group.

Schedule: Monday-Friday and Saturdays as required. Day shift from 7am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Assessment: Carry out comprehensive evaluations of vehicles to pinpoint issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Diagnostic Analysis: Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to uncover problems with engines, electrical systems, brakes, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
  • Repair and Maintenance Tasks: Execute repairs and maintenance activities such as engine overhauls, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and oil changes.
  • Component Replacement: Replace or repair defective parts including spark plugs, filters, belts, hoses, and brakes.
  • Engine Optimization: Tune engines for peak performance, making adjustments to fuel injection systems, ignition timing, and emissions control.
  • Wheel Alignment and Balancing: Align and balance wheels to ensure proper handling and minimize tire wear.
  • HVAC Services: Service and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to maintain vehicle climate control.
  • Documentation: Keep meticulous records of all repairs, including parts utilized, labor hours, and diagnostic results.
  • Test Drives: Perform test drives to confirm that repairs have been successfully completed and that the vehicle operates correctly.
  • Safety Standards Compliance: Ensure vehicles adhere to safety and emissions regulations by conducting inspections and implementing necessary repairs.
  • Tool and Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, computerized diagnostic devices, and lifts.
  • Time Management: Effectively manage time to complete tasks within expected timeframes and meet customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a formal automotive technology program from a vocational school, community college, or technical institute is preferred.
  • GM ASEP Certification is advantageous.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service capabilities.
