About the Role

The Murphy Oil Corporation is seeking an exceptional Reservoir Engineer to fill a key role in our team. As a Deepwater Reservoir Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining reservoir models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring integration of all relevant data. Your expertise in classical reservoir engineering, including material balance analyses, PTA analyses, and PVT analyses, will be essential in optimizing development options while managing risks and uncertainties. You will also provide expert guidance on troubleshooting well performance issues and recommend workover and/or stimulation treatments.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Your ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial in this role. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining reservoir models in close collaboration with geoscientists.
- Providing expert guidance on troubleshooting well performance issues and recommending workover and/or stimulation treatments.
- Utilizing classical reservoir engineering principles to optimize development options while balancing risks and uncertainties.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 20 years' experience in Reservoir Engineering, with at least 5 years' experience in deepwater fields and 10 years' experience in economic assessments, reservoir simulation, network modeling, and pressure transient analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with tNavigator/Eclipse, PTA/Kappa, PVT/PVTsim, ValNav, Power BI, or similar software packages.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment, prioritizing team needs over individual goals.
