About the Role

At St. John's Hospital Camarillo, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse II - Surgery to join our team. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert surgical nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room operations.
  • Act as a mentor and preceptor to junior nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the OR.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of OR staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and hospital performance.

Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nurse license.
  • Current CPR, ACLS & PALS certifications.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years current OR experience required.
  • Evidence of ongoing education in OR required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • OR specialty certification preferred.
  • Spanish speaking experience preferred.
