About the Role
At St. John's Hospital Camarillo, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse II - Surgery to join our team. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert surgical nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room operations.
- Act as a mentor and preceptor to junior nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the OR.
- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of OR staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and hospital performance.
Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current CPR, ACLS & PALS certifications.
- Three (3) to five (5) years current OR experience required.
- Evidence of ongoing education in OR required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
- OR specialty certification preferred.
- Spanish speaking experience preferred.
