Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Instructor to join our team at Waukesha County Technical College. As an Industrial Maintenance Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction, administering assessments, and fostering an active learning environment that focuses on student foundational competence, success, retention, and completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain course curriculum aligned with departmental, state, and applicable standards and outcomes.
  • Plan, deliver, and facilitate student learning, providing ongoing quality feedback to students.
  • Assess student attainment of learning outcomes and critical life skills at the course, program, and college level.
  • Collect, report, analyze, and use data to support continuous improvement at the course, program, and college level.
  • Use technology to facilitate student learning, college processes, and personal productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate as a productive member of a team.
  • Maintain college learning resources and equipment.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention activities.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development, maintain occupational competency, and ensure knowledge of current laws and regulations related to the profession.
Requirements
  • Expertise in technical knowledge and skills related to the Industrial Maintenance field.
  • A broad knowledge base related to fluid power, electrical and electronics, automated systems, rigging, mechanical power transmission, machine alignment and installation, preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and facilities operations.
  • Ability to perform physical aspects of maintenance and repair.
Education and Experience
  • Technical diploma, Apprenticeship, and/or Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance or Electro-Mechanical studies, or completion of a registered apprenticeship in a related occupation.
  • Seven years of experience within the industrial maintenance field.
