Job Overview

The selected Interventional Gastroenterologist will deliver tailored, comprehensive care within an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care for individuals requiring interventional endoscopy consultations, focusing on advanced GI procedures.

  • ERCP
  • Colonoscopy
  • Management of acute pancreatitis
  • Treatment of Barrett's esophagus
  • Addressing gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Management of esophageal varices
  • Gallstone interventions
  • Treatment of gastric antral vascular ectasia (GAVE)
  • Lesion management in the digestive tract
  • Pancreatic cyst interventions
  • Swallowing disorder evaluations
  • Obstruction/tumor management in the esophagus, duodenum, or colon
  • Argos Plasma Coagulation for vascular ectasia
  • Band ligation for esophageal varices
  • Cystogastrostomy for pancreatic cysts
  • Endoscopic mucosal resection
  • Endoscopic pancreatic necrosectomy for acute pancreatitis
  • Endoscopic suturing
  • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
  • EndoRotor procedures
  • Enteral stent placement/removal
  • Enteroscopy for gastrointestinal bleeding
  • HALO procedures
  • PEG feeding tube placement/removal

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Specialized training in Advanced/Interventional Endoscopy
  • New Jersey licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • Preferably 2+ years post-fellowship experience

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care services at the main hospital campus
  • Participate in on-call coverage
  • Provide administrative support to enhance endoscopy services and overall quality
