Job Summary

At Builders FirstSource, we are seeking a skilled CDL driver to join our team. As a driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering building materials to customer sites. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive delivery vehicles and/or operate truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites.
  • Adhere to driver safety/compliance regulations and deliver undamaged goods on schedule.
  • Provide professional service to customers and ensure their needs are met.
  • Load or assist with loading and securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicles.
  • Verify order details and maintain logs of delivery duties, including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage, and locations of deliveries.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license, and a Class A CDL license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience, with 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include working in a production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust. You must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently and on occasion may be required to lift and carry, with assistance, up to 200 pounds.
