This role is responsible for ensuring the company operates within all relevant environmental laws and regulations, implementing sustainable practices, and mitigating potential risks associated with hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems for RCRA, CAA, and CWA, including reporting and data management.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements for diverse manufacturing facilities.
  • Manage low-level radioactive material management and develop environmental sustainability programs.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Prepare and submit required environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste procedures, including coordination with external vendors.
  • Lead efforts to minimize environmental impact through waste reduction, recycling programs, and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Monitor air and water quality, hazardous material handling, and pollution prevention measures.
  • Respond to environmental incidents, assist in investigations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay informed about regulatory compliance changes and ensure company policies and practices are updated accordingly.
  • Provide environmental training and support to employees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and hazardous materials management.
  • Strong verbal and written communications, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience working within ISO9001 and ISO13485 certifications preferred.
Working Environment:

Office, manufacturing, and warehouse; some manual labor and evening/weekend work may be required. Hazardous materials training as required.
