The Mathematics Educator is responsible for delivering exceptional mathematical instruction to students utilizing the Mathnasium Method. Qualifications
  • Passion for mathematics and working with students - Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics at least through Algebra 1, with preference given to those capable of higher-level math (Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus).
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Candidates should engage well with students, inspire them to excel, and create a fun learning atmosphere.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained - New hires must complete 15-20 hours of training within the first month.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks - Candidates must be adept at multitasking, assisting several students simultaneously while documenting their progress.
  • Professional demeanor and effective communication - Candidates must interact with parents, students, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner, establishing confidence and value with families.
  • Availability - Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 6-10 hours across at least two shifts during the week and weekend, with a maximum of 20-25 hours available in some cases.
Responsibilities
  • Implement the Mathnasium Method and instructional strategies
  • Maintain good availability for work and provide timely updates regarding scheduling
  • Continuously strive for excellence as an instructor
  • Demonstrate retention of training and information shared during staff meetings
  • Attend staff meetings approximately every 4-6 weeks
  • Teach students in a manner that resonates with them
  • Provide encouragement and constructive feedback
  • Support administrative tasks and maintain cleanliness and order in the center
Working Hours

Instruction is generally available during the following times:

  • Monday - Thursday from 3 PM - 8 PM
  • Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM (some locations)
  • Sunday from 1 PM - 6 PM

All applicants will be required to demonstrate math proficiency through a literacy test, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
