We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Caregiver to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 0-5.
Key Responsibilities- Child Safety and Well-being: Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Childcare Services: Provide high-quality childcare services, including activities, snacks, and rest periods, to promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure seamless childcare services.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise and train volunteers in childcare procedures, ensuring they are equipped to provide quality care.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and reporting, to ensure efficient childcare services.
- Education and Experience: Formal education or training in child development or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in childcare is also desirable.
- Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
This role requires the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and work in a nursery/childcare environment with a moderate to high noise level.
