Responsibilities:

  • Directs all aspects of decision making as a Servant Leader.
  • Serves as the Charge Nurse in the absence of the Executive Director and Director of Health & Wellness.
  • Contributes to medication management, including orders, administration, storage, documentation, and adherence to state regulations and company policies.
  • Ensures resident rooms and common areas are clean and safe.
  • Trains care partners and medication assistants on resident conditions and services.
  • Assists residents with self-medication or administration of medications.
  • Documents daily recommendations and changes in resident conditions.
  • Implements plans of care recommended by the Resident Wellness Director.
  • Provides accurate and timely documentation of all care provided to residents.
  • Completes accident and incident reports as required.
  • Maintains positive relationships with residents, family members, and responsible parties.
  • Prepares for and manages emergency situations, including disasters and fires.
  • Ensures adequate and trained care partners and medication assistants are available for each shift.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license (LVN/LPN preferred).
  • Two years' experience in a senior living environment preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Must complete all company-specified training programs.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
