About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Weston Solutions, Inc. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects, including groundwater extraction and treatment system design, construction, and operations support, groundwater and soil remediation investigation and design, and wastewater treatment design and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure the completion of engineering scope within the required schedule and budget.
  • Prepare engineering design drawings and specifications, technical reports, and field investigations/site reconnaissance.
  • Project permitting and coordination with regulatory agencies, engineering cost estimating and analysis, engineering design calculations, bid and award services, RFI and submittal review, and construction phase engineering services.
  • Support environmental projects, including environmental sampling field work, data management/tabulation and analysis, subcontractor oversight, and reporting.
  • Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates, coordinate with team on preparation of design documents, coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.
Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Illinois/Michigan - Licensed P.E. certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent organization and operations planning skills.
  • Self-starter, detailed oriented, and finisher.
  • Proficient in using typical business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).

Compensation

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Salary Range: $66,400 - $88,600 - $110,700
