Perry Local Schools is seeking a qualified Substitute School Nurse to join our team. As a Substitute School Nurse, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing nursing care to students in a school setting
  • Logging clinic visits and providing emergency care
  • Making telephone calls and communicating with parents and staff
  • Working effectively with students, staff, administrators, and parents

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio
  • Prior experience working with school age children preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, staff, administrators, and parents
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Satisfy all statutory provisions governing a criminal record background check
  • Recommendation of prior employer(s)
  • Technologically literate
