Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to recipes and procedures to prepare assigned sauces and food items according to prep lists and inventory guidelines.
- Maintain prescribed portioning controls and inventory levels.
- Understand and follow food allergy protocols and special requests.
- Prepare and produce ready-to-use foods, garnishes, and condiments for service.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Utilize knives properly, including the use of protective gloves for chopping, dicing, etc. Clean and organize work areas and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Ensure cleanliness of the work area throughout the shift.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, in accordance with position requirements and OSHA standards.
- Contribute to a positive guest experience by striving to exceed expectations.
- Store, receive, stock, and rotate food items throughout the shift as needed.
- Collaborate closely with back-of-house and front-of-house team members in a fast-paced environment while managing various time-sensitive tasks.
- Assist fellow cooks during peak service times as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- No formal education required.
- Previous experience in food preparation preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong judgment skills and a positive attitude.
- Must possess all required food and alcohol certifications as mandated by location.

Reports to: Executive Chef
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- 75% of the time spent working at a table/stove approximately 36 inches high.
- 75% of the time involves reaching overhead, bending, stooping, and cleaning.
- 60% of the time requires performing tasks at a continuous high pace under pressure while maintaining quality and speed standards.
- 50% of the time involves lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level, approximately 20 feet, sometimes involving stairs.
- Must be able to walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with guests.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects, tools, and controls.
- Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
