Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team at the City of Sheboygan, WI. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care and transportation to patients, and educating the public on fire safety and prevention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care and transportation to patients
  • Operate fire apparatus and equipment, including fire trucks and ambulances
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain and improve skills and knowledge
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and provide education to the public on fire safety and prevention
  • Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and medical personnel
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Emergency medical licensure by the State of Wisconsin
  • Firefighting certification to the level deemed appropriate and necessary by the Fire Chief
  • Valid Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Operator's license
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in hazardous environments
