We are currently seeking a Controller for Multi-Location/Multi-Unit to oversee financial operations for a significant healthcare client. This role is essential in managing the financial aspects of our extensive portfolio.
The Multi-Unit Controller will be accountable for the financial performance of food service operations, ensuring alignment with both client and Sodexo budgets. This individual will collaborate closely with Unit Operations Managers to manage financial matters effectively. Responsibilities include providing financial support for weekly projections, participating in budget reviews, updating forecasts, and generating various reports. This position will oversee a team of 5 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for unit financial projections and inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgeting.
- Prepare and analyze weekly financial reports for the healthcare system.
- Review financial reports for all units in preparation for district meetings.
- Support managers during weekly financial reviews, addressing issues and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
- Provide guidance to Managers, Chefs, and Operations Managers regarding financial performance.
- Collaborate with the District Manager to consolidate weekly financial variances and provide insights.
- Analyze month-end reports, offering explanations for variances and corrective action plans.
- Ensure timely completion of weekly reports, including key performance indicators.
- Deliver training for general managers and unit administrators on financial systems.
- Onboard new general managers and unit administrators on Sodexo's financial processes.
- Conduct meetings to discuss operational efficiencies and cost management.
- Perform routine audits of inventory and cash handling procedures.
- Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
- Support additional financial products as directed by management.

- Has a proven track record in managing material costs, labor, and compliance.
- Exhibits flexibility and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
