Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex refrigeration systems, including ammonia, Freon, and CO2 equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, motors, wiring, and electrical components of machinery and equipment, adhering to electrical codes and standards.
  • Perform evaluations, preventative, and predictive maintenance on refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain and repair building infrastructure, including plumbing and other physical structures.
  • Perform evaluations and maintenance on material handling equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Complete work orders and log all performed work into the CMMS system daily.
  • Report inspections, evaluations, and maintenance activities to leadership daily, providing critical information on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractors working on or near refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.
  • Operate, inspect, calibrate, and maintain equipment, utilizing onsite motorized lifts as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years of mechanical experience maintaining motorized lifts and equipment, warehouse, processing, and/or manufacturing equipment, or a combination of experience and trade school.
  • 2 years of industrial refrigeration experience (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2) or a combination of experience and trade school.
  • Successful completion of the Refrigeration Operator 1 course and/or (CARO) or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
  • BASIC electrical instrumentation experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) may be required at some facilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT A MINIMUM OF 40 LBS./18 KGS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice of Working at Height regulations.
