Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher Assistant to join our team at Country Acres Early Learning and Child Care. As a Floater/Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Lead Teachers to develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate curricula that align with Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with families through regular updates and progress reports.
  • Engage actively with students and participate in classroom activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Establish and enforce rules of behavior, promoting social skills and positive relationships among children.
  • Provide basic needs for children, including supervision and care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Manage classroom activities, including lessons, play, breaks, and meals, ensuring a smooth and efficient daily routine.
  • Track children's progress and report to parents, providing valuable insights into their development.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Encourage social skills and interaction among children, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Create an account with MERIT Workforce Registry.
  • Clear department background check.
  • Negative TB symptom screen and negative TB risk assessment.
  • CPR Certification.
