Key Responsibilities- Patient Care Support: Act as a vital support to healthcare providers by delivering primary healthcare services and managing patient care effectively.
- Operational Collaboration: Work closely with administrative staff to enhance operational efficiency and optimize patient flow.
- External Coordination: Liaise with external healthcare institutions and agencies concerning patient care and insurance matters.
- Competency Maintenance: Keep skills and knowledge current, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and accreditation entities regarding processes and workflows.
- Front Office Duties: Perform administrative tasks to ensure coverage as necessary.
- Flexible Coverage: Provide support in various departments or locations as required.
- Customer Service Excellence: Exhibit outstanding customer service skills, promoting a model of patient and family-centered care.
- Additional Responsibilities: Formally undertake at least two additional responsibilities that constitute a minimum of 20% of dedicated time, such as:
- Identifying and addressing primary care gaps.
- Participating in residency clinic roles.
- Conducting high-level disinfection.
- Serving as a designated preceptor for new hires.
- Engaging in special programs or grants.
- Managing care effectively.
- Acting as a qualified language interpreter.
- Providing advanced support to healthcare providers.
- Assisting in multi-site or flexible assignments.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Training: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience, including either twelve months of Medical Assistant work experience or completion of an internship followed by six months of work experience.
- Preferred Experience: Two to three years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization required upon hire.
- Additional Certifications: At least one certification from a recognized body is preferred.
This position is designed for full-time employment, operating during daytime hours from Monday to Friday. The role may require flexibility to cover various departments as needed.
