About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Brake Machine Technician to join our team at Precise Personnel, LLC.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in operating brake machines and a keen eye for detail. As a Brake Machine Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining brake machines to fold, form, and shape metal parts according to design specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders and ensure all prior processes are completed before starting the job.
  • Create a first part and obtain supervisor approval.
  • Operate brake machines to fold, form, and shape metal parts according to design specifications.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts for conformance to design.
  • Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.
  • Record and notify supervisors of any non-conformances.
  • Maintain a clean working area.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines as directed.
  • Follow all safety rules and report any safety concerns.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and maintain a fast pace.
  • Maintain a good attitude with management and coworkers.
  • Assist as needed in all areas of the manufacturing department.
  • Cross-train as needed in other departments.
  • Keep work areas clean.
  • Lift parts up to 40lbs or less may be required.
  • Maintain basic timekeeping and job records on computer database.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with brake machine operation and maintenance.
