We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our personnel on job sites.

Job Summary

The Safety Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising project safety in accordance with Federal, State, and local Health and Safety regulations, as well as corporate policies. This includes overseeing critical work plan activities, performing jobsite inspections, reviewing safety-related paperwork, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee critical work plan activities to ensure compliance with approved work plans.
  • Perform jobsite inspections and review safety-related paperwork to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure field operations are in compliance with current OSHA regulations, company policies, and owners' or general contractors' rules as specified by contract.
  • Assist with training as needed for projects to ensure all employees on site have required training and discuss upcoming training needs with the project team.
  • Assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigation for jobsites and develop safety alerts as a result thereof.
  • Ensure appropriate management of work-related injuries and proper care for injured employees.
  • Develop and implement procedures to eliminate hazards and situations discovered through lessons learned and investigations from prior incidents.
  • Assist the Safety Department and project team as needed for specific safety-related items.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience overseeing safety across multiple job sites.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Construction Safety industry experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or a related field, CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), STSC (Safety Trained Safety Certified), CSP, ASP, OSHA 510, OSHA 30, CPR Training Certification, and previous experience working for a mechanical contractor.
Physical Requirements

The Safety Manager may need to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision, and working on a computer. Standing is regularly required, and the use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, or pick up items and work on a computer is necessary. Reach with hands and arms may be required to occasionally reach above shoulder height. Ability to speak verbally and hear is also required. Walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing flights of stairs and ladders, and walking on uneven surfaces or terrain may be necessary for project job walks and site inspections.
