Garnet Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at Garnet Health Medical Center Middletown. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, including the prescribing, preparation, dispensing, and administration of medications.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory standards and ensure compliance with changing requirements.
- Provide guidance and oversight to direct support personnel, including technicians.
- Assume essential responsibilities and perform duties of a pharmacy manager in the absence of a manager or lead pharmacist.
- Work independently with minimal direct supervision and adapt to changing priorities and emergency situations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- PharmD degree required; advanced training such as a master's or residency preferred.
- At least three years of hospital-based or health-system-based experience preferred.
- Current NYS Pharmacist License and Registration required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
