Addictions Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Addictions Recovery Specialist to join our team at Empowering Mindz, LLC. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

About the Role:

The Addictions Recovery Specialist will provide counseling and case management services to clients with substance use disorders. This includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating individual and group counseling sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of addiction dynamics, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment planning for clients with substance use disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address client goals and needs
• Facilitate group counseling sessions and provide individual counseling as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
• Document client progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work) or equivalent experience
• Licensed professional counselor (LPC) or eligible for licensure in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with substance use disorders
• Strong knowledge of addiction theory, assessment, and treatment approaches
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
