Covenant Living is seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Answer all telephone calls in a polite, personal, and friendly manner, transferring calls as needed and taking messages when individuals are unavailable.
- Monitor the emergency system, direct staff to emergent situations, and call emergency personnel as necessary.
- Provide information to visitors, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate staff member, and have them sign in and wear badges according to policy.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception desk and lobby area.
- Facilitate transportation requests, coordinate with staff, and communicate with residents and staff regarding transportation schedules.
- Assist residents in signing up for programs and activities, collect payment, and provide information about office equipment.
- Sell postage stamps, receive packages, sort mail, and inform residents and staff of packages to pick up.
- Facilitate maintenance requests, input requests into the system, and communicate with staff regarding urgent or emergent situations.
- Complete monthly charge sheets according to procedure.
- Support other departments with clerical duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
- High school education or equivalent.
- One year of secretarial training or clerical experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Pleasant personality and telephone voice.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Complete confidentiality when circulating general information.
- Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in working with older adults.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
