Responsibilities:
* Perform procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders, using independent judgment and applying learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
* Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments, demonstrating professional behavior and fostering teamwork and quality patient outcomes.
* Produce high-quality images and prepare and present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation, preparing and maintaining accurate documentation.
* Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive and interventional procedures, adhering to safety policies and maintaining a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors.
* Accountable for ethical, legal, professional, and certification responsibilities related to the practice, maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
Qualifications:
* National certification in the area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
* 1-2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with effective communication skills, human relations skills, and the ability to analyze data and solve problems.
