Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
  • Conduct regular site visits to identify potential hazards and provide guidance to supervisors and employees.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and monitor annual action plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments, audits, and investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and employees on health and safety best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a culture of prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable U.S. laws and regulations, including OSHA 30 training.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
