About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Effectors Systems Design & Architecture organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and partnering with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and maintain RF and EE-related system and subsystem level requirements specifications to include interfaces, behaviors, architecture, and verification environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide SE technical expertise in RF / EE integration, troubleshooting, and failure investigations.
  • Requirements Management: Perform requirements flow down / allocation and traceability along with development of the Requirements Verification Matrix.
  • Leadership: Lead technical discussions, formulate plans of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines, and lead technical conversations with the customer and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains, OR an Advanced STEM degree and minimum 3 years of professional experience in the following technical domains:
    • Systems Engineering: Systems engineering, architecture, and/or design
    • System Performance: System performance and analysis
    • Algorithms and Signal Processing: Algorithms and signal processing
    • Electronics: Electronics (circuit card assemblies, subassemblies, complete systems) requirements, integration, and verification
    • RF Sensor Subsystems: RF Sensor sub-systems requirements, integration, and verification
    • Configurable Logic: Configurable Logic / Firmware / VHDL architecture, design, development, integration, and verification
  • Experience: Experience capturing system requirements and maintaining system requirements, experience performing requirements definition, decomposition, and changes, and active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile Framework: Experience using Agile framework development methods/processes
  • Azure DevOps: Experience using Azure DevOps methods/tools
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Past work experience in a challenging fast-paced environment
  • Programming Skills: Experience with Matlab, C, C#, C++, Python
  • Trade Studies: Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
  • Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle: Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
  • Risk Management: Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
  • Technical Briefs: Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
