Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As a key member of our delivery operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of building materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign vehicles and drivers for conveyance of building materials
• Compile lists of available vehicles and assign them according to factors such as trip length and freight requirements
• Issue keys, record sheets, and credentials to drivers
• Record time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return
• Investigate overdue vehicles and direct activities of drivers by two-way radio
• Confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise
• Maintain records of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses
• Establish service or delivery routes and assign helpers to drivers

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Related experience and/or training
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
• Ability to write basic business correspondence and present information effectively
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

Work Environment:

The physical demands of this job include sitting regularly and standing occasionally. The work environment is moderate with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions.
