Job Title: CT Technologist

Ambe Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing high-quality computed tomography scans to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform computed tomography scans of the head, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, chest, and spine.
  • Receive and evaluate physician orders, taking into account patient history and information.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast safely, utilizing power injectors.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to obtain pertinent information.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely service and notify managers of any equipment issues.
  • Perform quality assurance testing on computerized tomography equipment and log results.
  • Coordinate patient information with picture archive communication systems and electronic medical records to save data and radiation dose.
  • Perform duties as a radiologic technologist as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology program.
  • One year of CT experience preferred.
  • Basic life support certification required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required.
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency certification to perform Radiology required.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Ability to start IVs.
  • Ability to maintain radiation safety.
Physical Demands:
  • Sitting: Job requires sitting for extended periods.
  • Walking: Job requires walking considerable distances.
  • Lifting: Job requires lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Pulling/Pushing: Job requires exerting force up to 50 lbs.
  • Grasping/Reaching: Job requires grasping/picking up items and reaching for objects.
  • Sight: Job requires normal vision.
  • Hearing: Job requires normal hearing.
  • Speaking: Job requires speaking and talking.
  • Keyboarding: Job requires use of computer.
