Job Overview

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate for the Dispatcher role should possess the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office setting, preferably in logistics or transportation;
  • Possession of a CDL or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for transportation requirements within the Pine-Richland school district, managing approximately eighty (80) daily routes;
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports, including documentation for complaints, incidents, disciplinary actions, and changes in routing;
  • Support the manager with billing processes, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end financial tasks;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of driver recruitment initiatives to ensure adequate coverage for daily routes and substitute personnel;
  • Ensure all drivers complete necessary training and safety meetings;
  • Oversee extracurricular and charter trip assignments, ensuring appropriate personnel are designated for these services;
  • Review and adhere to established School District contracts, assisting with reporting obligations;
  • Facilitate communication with drivers and the community using two-way radios and landlines;
  • Be prepared to assist as a driver when needed;
  • Familiarize oneself with Federal, State, and STA policies, aiding in their enforcement;
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Terminal Manager.
