Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychotherapist to join our Behavioral Services team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based care to individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, conjoint, group, and family psychotherapy as needed.
  • Conduct crisis intervention services as required.
  • Ensure the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
  • Work a schedule of 3 full 8-hour days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and a half-day on Fridays.
Requirements
  • Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one year of supervised post-masters experience, or a Master's degree in Social Work with two years of post-Master's experience in a mental health/chemical dependency setting.
  • Certifications/Licenses Required: Licensed Psychologist, Limited Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Master's in Social Work.
Preferred Skills
  • Graduated from an accredited university/college with a Master's degree in Social Work and fully licensed to practice in the state of Michigan.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21 and their families.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective behavioral health care plans.
  • Experience working on a multidisciplinary/integrated team in a school environment, outpatient behavioral health setting, or primary care setting with high-risk patients/families.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic integrated team, with excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional behavioral health services and effectively communicate with patients, families, and other personnel.
