Mechanical Design Engineer

Alpha Research & Technology Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in El Dorado Hills, CA. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing innovative mechanical and electromechanical components, assemblies, products, and systems that meet customer requirements.
About the Role:
- Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements, researching, and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for shock, vibe, thermal, etc. utilizing SolidWorks.
- Provide direct support to Manufacturing in a training and advisory role, and assist in resolving customer issues related to installation and mechanical operational issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design related to electronics products and systems with a proven track record on product development from concept through release to production.
- Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge of analysis and design process for addressing thermal, shock, and vibration aspects of electronic equipment.
- Working knowledge of FEA for structural and thermal aspects of electronic enclosure and equipment rack designs.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
