About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing a cloud-based platform that enables efficient delivery of high-quality, secure software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a cloud-based infrastructure that supports modernizing the program platform's design through new emerging technologies and use of DevOps/DevSecOps tools and automation.
  • Provide operational support for the platform, including troubleshooting applications and infrastructure services on Linux-based operating systems.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutions.
  • Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management.
  • Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.
Requirements
  • Typically requires BS/BA degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics, and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience with RedHat Linux, designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
  • A U.S. government TS/SCI issued security clearance is required, and U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab).
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
  • Experience with scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Fortify, Anchore).
  • Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization.
