The Registered Nurse collaborates with a diverse team to deliver coordinated, comprehensive, and exceptional patient care. About Our Outpatient Services

Spectrum Health operates numerous outpatient clinics throughout Michigan, providing a wide range of care options to the communities we serve. Key Responsibilities

The RN delivers nursing care by assessing and prioritizing medical needs presented through patient calls, families, providers, and others. Ensuring timely responses for patients with high-risk conditions is essential. Under the ANA scope of practice, the RN employs the nursing process framework to provide professional nursing care, integrating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. The RN delivers quality care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Spectrum Health policies and procedures, while recognizing the significance of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on outcomes. Collaboration with patients and families is vital in planning care and developing educational strategies, with appropriate documentation in health records.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be completed within five years.
  • Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required within 90 days.

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, with a day shift schedule, typically from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
