Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging process, utilizing their expertise to perform MRI exams with precision and accuracy. As a member of the Grand Strand Medical Center team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI exams on a variety of body parts, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Complete pre-exam screening, greet patients, and assist with gowns, history forms, and technologist exam sheets.
  • Verify and follow doctor's orders, initial patient charts, and safely administer contrast media when necessary.
  • Transport patients to and from ER and other imaging areas, move patients on and off the exam table, and prioritize patient exams for optimal workflow.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiography program.
  • RT and MR certification from ARRT.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Tech and 2 years of MRI experience preferred.
