Role Summary:

The Echo Technician will be responsible for performing ultrasound imaging to evaluate heart muscle and functions. This role involves creating detailed images of the heart and its components to assist in diagnosing cardiac conditions. The technician will work closely with cardiologists, executing the technical aspects of examinations and providing findings for further evaluation.

Qualifications:Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications may require a Bachelor's): Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current certification or eligibility for certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Required
  • Echocardiography (ECG) certification: Preferred
  • CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent credentials: Required
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up ultrasound equipment, prepare patients, and document cardiac data accurately.
  • Conduct patient interviews and review medical histories to tailor sonographic techniques.
  • Maintain and inventory ultrasound equipment, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for use.
  • Stay current with industry knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networking.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as required.
